changing an outfit, furcolor, name or eyecolor does not make it yours!!!
I have personally drawn point commissions (not on this channel) where it was just Sally acorn in a dress! and it had some new name and back story! no sir ee girl! that is just sally!
oh and what pisses me off even more is when their characters are dating/related to the canon characters! AMY IS NOT YOUR LONG LOST SISTER! TAILS IS NOT YOUR BOYFRIEND! YOU ARE NOT CREAMS TWIN! YOU ARE NOT SONICS OLD BEST FRIEND! GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD!
Or when their powers are implossibly unrealistic! like "oh yeah my character can kill someone with the snap of their fingers and theyre faster then sonic and he can go super without emeralds" NO YOU CAN NOT!!!!
I SWEAR! IF I FIND OUT THAT ANY OF YOU HAVE A CHARACTER LIKE THIS I WILL NEVER DRAW YOU A PICTURE IN YOUR LIFE-TIME!
That should be my new rule! No drawings of OC's that resemble the canons and no drawing of any pairings of OCxCanon!

Fully agreed! Some OCs being just simple MS Paint recolours (I started there but later moved to Paint.net and later, GIMP, plus we all start somewhere...) and other things is just... sad, really. Heck, my OC first started off as a robotic recolour of Classic Amy back in 2017, then lazily became a teenage/robotic version of Cream the Rabbot, and nowadays, she evolved to what some people know and love today... after going through eighteen iterations in total! And she's a fusion of Jenny Wakeman and Bunnie Rabbot combined into one with creativity from myself thrown in there to a point I consider it to be a hybrid OC or even a fan character in general!
With that said, lazily done OCs always turn me off when downloading images from DeviantArt (if the uploader has downloads enabled) and . what I can't tolerate the most here is when people steal art and color over it and call it their original art, especially poorly to a point you can tell it's been colored over and don't credit the original artist for the image they reused.
